Louis Vuitton The Process: Double Exposure with Sam Taylor-Wood

While steps have been taken by pockets of society, more so than ever the world has adopted a finite and disposable approach to life. Many things are meant to be readily consumed and quickly disposed of soon after. With this in mind, a keen interest in this relationship developed together with Sam Taylor Wood as he looked to find something to counteract the disposable nature of photography and imagery. In 1851, wet plate photography (or the Collodion Process) was developed in which chemicals would work in tandem with glass plates laced with silver halides and gelatin. More details on the Collodion process can be seen at Wikipedia.
