DC LIFE Admiral Sport – Black/Armor

Another doozy from the DC LIFE’s Fall 2010 Collection just arrived at retailers, adding to the Rob Dydrek x DC LIFE Royal we took a look at a few days ago. Shown here is a new colorway of the sportier, strapped version of the Admiral, properly named the Admiral Sport. The shoes consist of an entirely black upper constructed from leather with suede around the tongue. A repeating pattern around the toe and on part of the midfoot help to give the tonal upper a little depth, and a Armor-colored nylon strap and a Pink inner lining throw in a little flavor.
The shoes are available now at finer DC Shoes retailers such as Standard in Atlanta.

SupraTUF Thunder “Spackle”

Recently we saw two SupraTUF releases in the form of the Spackle Skytop and Skytop II. The dried-up, cracked-looking uppers were well conceived by consumers, so it probably goes without saying that the SupraTUF Thunder “Spackle” will be just as much of a hit for those who prefer the casual styling of Jim Greco’s high-top signature over Muska’s more technical looking Skytop’s. Taking on their own unique color to differ them from the Red and Blue color options used for the Skytop’s, the SupraTUF Thunder “Spackle” is designed using Black throughout the whole upper with Light Grey speckles and a White sole accented with Black pinstripes. As the name suggests, these are part of Supra’s TUF collection and utilize the most advanced abrasion/weather resistant materials making them the toughest skate shoes known to man.

DC Comics x Converse Chuck Taylor Collection

From the world’s greatest musical talent to fictional superheros, Converse never misses an opportunity to put together a unique collection. Their most recent venture into the world of collaborations pins the footwear manufacturer alongside Warner Bros. and DC Comics for a line of Chuck Taylor All-Star’s which breathe life into some of DC’s most famous characters. Kicking off the collection are Chuck Taylor High’s for Superman, Batman and Green Lantern. The two caped hero’s are featured on two sneakers a piece while Green Lantern trails behind with a solo release.
Journeys has one of the Batman and Superman models available now, as well as the Green Lantern edition. The other two Batman and Superman styles are available for pre-order but aren’t scheduled to release until later this year.

Solebox x Reebok Omni Zone Pump

Are illuminated sneakers set to become the newest trend in footwear again? Yesterday we saw the Oryon x TRON: Legacy x Adidas Heat Check TS which will light up the night thanks to the Oryon’s polyurethane lamps, and now we’ve got a look at an upcoming pair of Reebok’s which also include some glowing features.
Working alongside Hikmet and his team at Solebox, Reebok produced a pair of illuminated Omni Zone Pump’s. This isn’t the first time Solebox and Reebok have incorporated light-up features in a pair of sneakers. Such an effect was used on the Reebok Pump which Solebox designed for the 20th Anniversary of the shoe. This time though the element is used in a much wider area. During daylight hours or whenever you decide to turn the light off, the sneakers look pretty simple with a Black base, subtle accents of Grey and a White mid-sole and a red lining. However, that simple look can quickly turn into an attention getter when the tiny bulbs placed within the side panel are turned on to give off a Red glow behind the clear side panel.
It’s to early at this time to announce an exact release date but Solebox and Reebok are hoping for an release sometime early on in 2011.

AFTERNOON TIDBITS: T.I. Buys 18 Bottles Of Ciroc + Fab Gets Jacked + More

T.I. must have been feelin' real good on Monday in D.C. since he ordered 18 bottles of Ciroc.  And even shared some with his fans.  The deets on this plus stories about Fab's stolen car, the Old Spice Guy and the hot mess that is Montana Fishburne when you read on.
T.I. was at Eden Lounge in D.C. on Monday with his "Takers" co-star Idris Elba and Wale when, according to the NY Post, he decided to buy 18 bottles of Ciroc.  Then he passed out extra bottles to party goers.  Later on Idris took over the DJ booth and played a full set and Wale hopped on the mic and performed. Must be nice...


Fabolous did not have as good a time in D.C. as these guys.  He was hosting a party at LUX Lounge in the District when his car got stolen.  Here are his tweets about what happened:

Actor Isaiah Mustafa aka The Old Spice Guy will no longer be working on Tyler Perry's Movie "For Colored Girls...".  That's because he instead will be the lead role in the next Madea film.
Here's what he had to say about that:
I got a call from my manager a week and a half ago who told me that I was no longer in 'Colored Girls' and said I would be in 'Madea's Big Happy Family' instead. It was confirmed last Monday, and I left on Friday to begin filming.
I don't know why Mr. Perry made the swap.  I didn't ask him his reasoning. I'm just really happy to have gotten this role. It's one of the leads, where in 'Colored Girls,' I would have been just been in one or two scenes.

Moving up from a few scenes to the lead role is definitely a big jump.  Congrats to him.


And the latest in the Montana Fishburne chronicles: She has been offered a multi-picture deal with porn empire Vivid Entertainment.  Since "Chippy D's" first movie did so well with the first shipment being sold out all over the country and many on back order, she is going to be doing more films

.  The multi-picture deal doesn't specify exactly how many more films she will be doing but I'm sure its enough to keep her dad in hiding for a very long time.

Birdman's New $2.1 Million Car + Game Disses His Family

Birdman just bought a new car that costs $2.1 mill. Read on for pics & deets plus find out why the Game is dissing his family....

According to the Game's brother, Big Fase, after Game began making big stacks as a rapper ,he became selfish and left his family behind.
Big Fase tweeted, "This aint about no f*ckin ‘Breaklights’ …It’s about the Taylor family and the family member who got [money] and left everybody behind…mom/dad …all." He continued saying, “F*ck a n*gga who do a song about his sister life without her blessing, but wont help her when she reaches out doin’ bad.”
Game responded to these claims and agreed with this brother. The rapper said, "Aye, I gotta confession to make: F%$k Family!!! From the bottom of my heart, yall think yall gone run me dry..hit ya brakelights hoe. Aint gotta piece of lint for you.”
Whoa.  Game claims that he doesn't help his family out because his family was never there for him saying, "Question: how many of my ‘family’ members came to see me when I was in the hospital all shot up? The answer: 0."
The rapper just released a mixtape called 'Brakelights' and will drop a new CD entitled The R.E.D. Album later this year. I know a few people who won't be buying it....

 


Birdman is truly living up to the 'Cash Money' name. The rapper just made 1 big ass purchase: A $2.1 mill all red and extra hot Bugatti Veyron. The European sports car is also very expensive to maintain, with the estimated cost of upkeep around $300,00 yearly. The Wall Street Journal claims that owning this Bugatti is similar to owning a private jet.

AUDIO: Fantasia's 9-1-1 Call!

The 9-1-1 call made on Monday concerning Fantasia's 'suicide attempt' has leaked. Read on for the audio...

The caller was outside of Fantasia's home at the time of the incident and told the operator that Fantasia was losing consciousness and had been put into the shower to wake her up. The caller also made note that Fantasia had taken "a bottle of asprin".


The police arrived quickly after and transported Fantasia to a local North Carolina hospital. She's currently in stable condition.
