The 2011 Essence Music Festival Lineup Announced

The Essence Music Festival has announced their 2011 lineup which includes Mary J. Blige and Kanye West.  Get the full list inside plus find out about Michael Vick cancelling on Oprah...

It was announced today that Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, Jill Scott, and Trey Songz will headline the 2011 ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL during its run in New Orleans, July 1-3.
The headliners will be supported on the main stage and in the super lounges by Charlie Wilson, Fantasia, Boyz II Men, Stephanie Mills, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Macy Gray, Dwele, Alexander O'Neal & Cherrelle, Mint Condition, Kelly Price, M.C. Lyte and New Orleans talent including Irma Thomas, Kourtney Heart, Rebirth Brass Band, Charmaine Neville Band, and TBC Brass Band.
The theme of the fest this year is "The Roots of R&B."

Earlier today, Waka Flocka found himself under attack as two cars pulled up to his tour bus and opened fire.  Get the deets inside...
Earlier today in Charlotte, North Carolina, Waka and his crew were sitting in his tour bus, in front of a car stereo shop, when two cars pulled up and opened fire.
TMZ reported that Waka's security team returned fire and struck at least one of the vehicles.  Meanwhile, Waka's bus was hit four times.
Charlotte police have detained multiple people and one person was shot in the shoulder.
