Like most rappers when they are gearing up to release an album, DMX has started some ish with down south rapper Plies. Dark Man X says he doesn’t know who the worst rapper is “but he (Plies) has to be one of the worst.”

He goes on to say, "I mean 'Bruh Bruh?' Serious? that has to be one of the worst. How do you even fix your mouth to say that or spell that? I am looking at how it's spelled."

DMX noted that T.I. is his favorite artist out right now.

In good ol’ DMX fashion, he switches it up on a serious note and says, "On a serious note, what a lot of people don't understand, is that we as artists, are teachers. And if you teach people to spell like that and talk like that, then you dumber than the people you are supposed to be teaching." 

DMX is currently in the studio working on his album featuring collaborations with Dame Grease, Swizz Beatz, Diesel and Scott Storch.

Let’s see if DMX can keep his butt out of jail long enough to complete an entire album.

The pop singer announced her album title on one of her biggest chat rooms, Rihannadaily.com, last night. Rihanna announced that her new project's title will be called LOUD saying,

"Get LOUD everybody, get crazy, get excited, cuz im pumped, im just gonna be ME, cuz thats what u guys love the most, and thats what makes me feel best! just being normal, normal for me is LOUD! sassy, fun, flirty, energetic."

She continued to thank her fans worldwide and asked for her 'Rihanna Navy' to make her CD #1 in every country. I wish she would have thought of something more creative for a title though...

The Morehouse Forbes Arena at the Atlanta University Center was met with a frenzy on Sunday as thousands gathered, while Ludacris took over the gym for a celebrity basketball game. The home team coaches Ludacris and Larenz Tate vs. visiting team coaches Kenyon Martin and Teyana Taylor, teamed up with numerous celebrities. 

Ludacris raised a lot of money for his foundation.  Nice to see him giving back.

TELL IT GIRL! Mashonda Opens Up AGAIN About Her Marriage To Swizz Beatz And What Alicia Did

Just in case you were interested, Mashonda is STILL TALKING about her marriage to and divorce from Swizz Beatz.  Just when you thought you'd read it all, the details keep coming.  Read what Mashonda reveals in her most recent interview when you go inside...
In their October issue, Mashonda recently opened up to Sister to Sister magazine about her life with Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, pre- and post-divorce.  Here are some highlights:

On Alicia Asking Kasseem Jr. to call her “Mommy”:

S2S: You said that Alicia wanted your baby to call her “mommy”. How do you know that she said that?
Mashonda: My son told me.
S2S: And you told her that is not going to happen?
Mashonda: Yeah. I sent her an email and asked her to please respect what I am to him and it’s not right for her to think that is okay. She never replied. She doesn’t reply to me. She has never given me that respect.
S2S: What does Swizz say?
Mashonda: He said okay, he would stop it. He wouldn’t let her do it.
S2S: That would be kind of confusing for the child.
Mashonda: Oh, it is. It is so unfair to the child. I have been in contact with the little girl's mother (the woman in England who has Swizz’s baby). She’s a young girl. She’s a spiritual girl. She apologized to me… I don’t even judge her. I can’t. She’s totally different than the other one. This other one knew. Alicia knew about me 100 percent. Swizz introduced me at prior events. They were signed to the same record company. She knew. And I emailed her and asked her to stop doing what she was doing and she disregarded me. Just like she disregarded me when I asked her to not have my son thinking it was okay to call her “umi.” You’re not his umi. You just met my son.
S2S: “Umi” is like “mommy”?
Mashonda: “Umi” means “mommy” in Arabic. I’m like no. And then after I spoke to the lady in London, she told me that she tried to get her daughter to call her “umi” as well.
S2S: She’s met the lady in London?
Mashonda: Yes. I’m glad she’s having her own child now because now she will have someone to call her “umi”.
S2S: Wow.
Mashonda: Like, if you want to be a stepmother, that’s great. Be a stepmother. But don’t think that it’s okay to make a kid call you “umi” or “mommy.”

On why she continues to talk about this if she moved on:

Mashonda: People ask me why am I still talking about this and why don’t I just leave it alone. I’m like, this is going to help somebody. My story is a universal thing. This is not just something that only happened to me: This happens to women every day. Mine was just ugly. If I can help the next woman get through and be positive, then I’m going to talk about it.
S2S: Were you guys dating other people before he got with Alicia? Were you guys separated?
Mashonda: We were married. Sleeping in the same bed and having sex every night while he was seeing Alicia. Okay? It was an affair. 100 percent. I don’t know why people want to change that rule so much. We had just had a kid, for crying out loud. Our child was 8 months. I found out about Alicia two days before my son turned 1. They had been doing their thing for months before that.

At this point I think we know as much about Mashonda's marriage as the divorce lawyer, the therapist, her beautician, and Swizz Beatz best friend.  Whoever that may be.  I hope someone is learning from Mashonda's misfortune. And there is also a lesson to be learned from Swizz Beatz.  TIP:  When you get divorced from a woman with access to the media, have your lawyer add in a gag order.  You notice we NEVER hear anything from Al Reynolds.  And he loves attention. Star Jones knew HOW to get divorced.

Last night, was Day 2 of the the 5th Annual Ludaday Weekend festivities at Primal Night Club. Several celebrity friends including, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Lance Gross, Vin Diesel, Larenz Tate, Terrence J, a host of NBA players including, Atlanta Hawks Josh Smith, NBA legend Allen Iverson, Kenyon Martin, Tracy McGrady, and recording artists Day 26 were in the building.

Preparing for the release of her debut CD Pink Friday on November 23rd, Nicki Minaj shared some of her concerns in a recent interview about how her sales will affect other femcees. 

“[Young Money] won’t look to sign other female rappers if the project doesn’t do well, because they’re going to say, ‘Well, her buzz was so crazy, and if she couldn’t do it, then no one can do it,’ and I don’t want that to happen.  So I’m doing this as well for all the girls…I hope it will open doors for all girls everywhere who ever wanted to pick up a mic and rap and who have been kind of afraid to do it.”

As we told you yesterday, Nicki will be performing at the MTV VMAs Pre-Show which is another feat for femcees since that stage probably hasn't seen a hot female rapper since the OLD Lil Kim/Lauryn Hill days.

Currently on tour with Rock The Bells, Snoop Dogg has been thrilling audiences with performances of the Doggystyle album.  Now fans will be pleased to know that Snoop Dogg is creating a sequel to his classic 1993 debut album.  The new LP, which will be titled Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary, will drop later this year and feature Snoop rapping over a few of Swizz Beatz’ productions. In a recent interview Snoop said,

“[Swizz] just laced my boots up for my new record.  Motherf*cker gave me some gangsta sh*t, some Crips sh*t, some R&B sh*t, some hip-hop sh*t, some hard sh*t, mean sh*t…The album is Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary…Be on the lookout for it.”
