fragment design x UNDERCOVER x Nike Sportswear Match Classic 2011 Spring/Summer Collection

After a successful debut last season, fragment design and UNDERCOVER reconvene once again on the previously unknown court style, the Match Classic. With an original release in 1973, it took the involvement of both Hiroshi Fujiwara of fragment design and UNDERCOVER’s Jun Takahashi to turn an otherwise overlooked piece of simplistic design into a new popular lifestyle model. Two colors for this season include Ocean Fog or Soft Grey with the return of the printed vulcanized band. The pack will be a Dover Street Market exclusive in the UK.

The Blackouts x Vans OTW Larkin Decon

Vans unveils a new set of sneakers produced alongside OTW crew members The Blackouts, otherwise known as Ako and Atiba Jefferson. Together they deconstructed the Larkin by removing all padding to refine the silhouette, applied premium black materials to upgrade the uppers and added their logo to the soles to complete their signature shoe. Ako’s version features premium full-grain leather with perforated quarter panel and canvas linings. Atiba’s version features premium canvas upper with binding detail. Pig skin linings in both versions highlight tonal embossed leather, tongue labeling and quality cotton laces. Look for them soon through OTW stockists.

Fall 2011 marks the debut of men’s footwear from Shipley & Halmos. Shown is the Lucien, which features a clean leather upper, contrast stacked leather heel and subtle curving at the inside of the sole. Colors and skins include washed black and camel cow leather, midnight navy nubuck and drum-dyed chocolate with a wax and oil finish. All styles are handmade and include washes and color treatments developed exclusively for the brand. These will become available in early Fall 2011 through select Shipley & Halmos accounts. Retail is set at $325 USD.

Clarks Originals Slate Blue Desert Boot

Ronnie Fieg fills us in on a new colorway he developed with Clarks Originals for the brand’s Spring 2011 lineup. Taking on a lighter colorway than most staple options in the desert boot, the style features a slate blue hue in a matte faded nubuck, balancing a nice bit of color with the highs and lows in the nubuck. Only 300 pairs were made, priced at $92 USD with availability through David Z. (556 Broadway) in-store and online on April 8, 2011.
