Lil Wayne & Young Money Gear Up For New Albums

Although Lil Wayne is still locked up in Rikers, it's not stopping his camp, Young Money, from putting out music.

Fans of Lil Wayne can expect a new album dropping on the rapper's birthday, September 27. His manager Cortez Bryant says, "I'm putting out a [Wayne EP] called "I'm Not a Human Being." The project won't be released in stores.  But will be available online.
 
Young Money artist Shanell is preparing for her first album. She recently released a mixtape called "Shut Up N Listen" in April. The project is slated for release sometime next spring or summer. In the meantime, Shanell will be releasing a few videos from some songs on her mixtape.
 
Nicki Minaj's debut album is set for release in late November. The self-proclaimed "Barbie" has the top song on the Billboard charts, the first time by a female rapper in eight years.  She's currently   editing with director Hype Williams a video for her single, "Your Love."
 
Clearly, Young Money is trying to take over hip-hop by flooding the market with their music.  This technique is very similar to Wu-Tang Clan, who released one group album and then individual projects from each member.

Preview Of Chris Brown's New Video + Are Chris And Rihanna Patching Things Up?

 has released the trailer (yes the trailer) from his self-released song 12 Strands (Matrix).  It looks like it is going to be a very theatrical video.  See the trailer, pics from the video and what's going on with him and Rihanna when you read more.

And in other Chris Brown news, it looks like he and Rihanna might possibly patch things up and be friends at least.
According to South Africa's Heat Magazine, Rihanna and Chris have been in contact since he broke down and cried at the BET Awards.
An unnamed source told the magazine:

It's been almost a year since they last spoke, but Rihanna felt like she could try to be friends with Chris again.  Seeing how emotional he was on set [at the BET Awards] really touched her.  She'd never seen him like that before.

The source also added:

Chris told her that he felt like he's grown up in the past year.  He's said he's so happy to be back in touch with her.  They were each other's first love and he's missed her so much.  Rihanna knows that if he wanted him back, he'd be there in a second.

The two have reportedly text messaged each other since the phone call and a friend of Rihanna's suggested that there is a chance of a face-to-face meeting.
However, Chris has to stay at least 100 yards away from Rih Rih for five years under the terms of his August 2009 probation.  So....that doesnt seem too likely.

Will.I.Am claims he's "Most Hip-Hop N*gga Out" + Sean Kingston Investigated for Sexual Assault

Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas says he's "The Most Hip-Hop N*gga Out" in a recent interview and  Sean Kingston has also been accused of sexual assault.

It's no surprise that Will.I.Am doesn't come to mind when you think of hip-hop. Apparently, he thinks it should.
In a recent interview with Vibe, Will.I.Am says based on his music catalogue, he's "the most hip hop n*gga out" and the media is to blame for the way people perceive him.


The artist says, "If there's anyone whose the personification of hip-hop, I'm probably the most hip-hop n*gga out of all these hip-hop n*ggas." 
He continued saying, "I'm going to win. I'm going to win and win bigger than all these n*ggas are winning."
Will.I.Am thinks that people today are trying to categorize hip-hop and that actually limits it.

In other news, Sean Kingston has been accused of sexual assault. Let's hope this isn't a new summer trend.
The incident supposedly occurred Sunday night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Seattle. Law enforcement officials say both women were intoxicated at the time of the incident and had bottles of beer and vodka in their hands. One of the women claim Kingston had sex with her and then Kingston left the party and went to another room on the same floor.


Reportedly, the woman then went on and had sex with two other men in the room. The second woman allegedly also had sex with someone in the room. A hotel manager says an "incident" happened Sunday night but would not go into details.  The fire department says an ambulance was called and transported both women, 19 and 20, to a hospital where rape tests were taken.
Sources say Kingston is scheduled to perform tonight with teen sensation Justin Beiber in Portland and was asked by the police to come in for an interview. The police later determined that the case is not credible and said no interview will be necessary. However, at least one of the women will file a civil lawsuit.
