The first release from this new lineup is the Limited Edition Kamikaze, set to drop on Friday, May 13 in a run of 84 pairs. Additional drops are slated to make their way come July 2011. Each pair of this special run will come numbered 1 to 84, personally signed by Swizz Beatz. Former NBC/Universal president Jeff Zucker spared no expense for his son Andrew's bar mitzvah.  Jeff had plans to book Kanye West for $800,000 but when the rapper's demands skyrocketed to $1M, Jeff backed out of the deal and booked Drake instead.
Lucky for Drake, Kanye's excessive demands resulted in a payday worth $250K for a one-time performance.  Not bad.

Also in hip hop news.....
T.I. "The King Of The South" will be released on September 29 according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  Hopefully, the rapper will be able to stay out of trouble this time.

And does 50 Cent have beef with Jay-Z?

In a recent interview, 50 Cent let it be know that he isn't friends with most rappers.  While he doesn't have any beff with them, he says they are only business associates who use each other for money and energy.

“We don’t have those kinds of relationships. These people are people I associate with. We are in the same business. We are not necessarily friends. We don’t call each other for no reason.  It’s not like we have something against each other to make us enemies.  Me and Jay[-Z] will use each other. Repeatedly. For energy.”

Rihanna has released both the cover art for her latest single, "California King Bed."  
As her next offering off the LOUD album, Rihanna dropped the video for "California King Bed" a few minutes ago.  In a dreamy sequence that reminds the viewer of a beachy sunset in California, Rihanna tries to get close to her distant lover in their large California King-sized bed.  In hues of beige and peach, Rihanna's fire-engine locks add a dramatic flare to the video.
