Rihanna Spreads The May 2011 Of FHM Australia

Not only did we find out that Rihanna has expanded her family tree, but she's also added to her list of hot and sexy magazine covers.  Australian FHM is the latest mag to land RiRi on the cover and we have the photos inside for you.  And they are smoking.....
What do you get when you combine leather bras, satin panties and strawberries?  The answer....a risque photoshoot with Rihanna.  The "Only Girl In The World" singer takes sexy up a few pegs in a layout published in Australia's FHM Magazine.  The mag used photos that appeared previously in GQ UK, other international magazines, and her promo shots:

In one photo, RiRi works a bra with a glossy leatherish finish while revealing one of her many tattoos.

In the mag, she talks about her role in the sci-fi movie, Battleship and reveals that her favorite tattoo is one on her chest that reads “Never a failure, always a lesson.”

She and her bff Katy Perry were kicking it in L.A. recently where they hit up the Mozza Pizzeria before they went clubbing.  Rihanna tweeted:  Just had fun wild night out with my bff @katyperry! Love u barec***!!! U always make me feel like a f****** rockstar!!!!’

55DSL x Fakso “Fast or Die” Project

Having been involved with photography since the age of 13, Alex Fasko has become a prominent presence in the contemporary street scene, providing a voice to the graffiti movement since the early ’90s. His latest project, Fast or Die, is a catalog of photos taken during his travels over the past five years to places like the United States, Japan and Russia. The nearly 60 shots that are contained in the book capture a narrative of the chaotic underground life of subways as people run, take their trains, sleep on docks and sneak into tunnels. Teaming up with his childhood friend Andrea Rosso, creative director of 55DSL, the two have also designed a set of six t-shirts that feature photos and graphics from the book, both of which can be purchased in select 55DSL stores worldwide (including the e-shop) and on www.fakso.com.

KORG monotribe

This palm-sized, analog synthesizer from KORG has a definite throw-back feel and offers a thick, unique sound that can be adjusted with the turn of a knob. With discrete analog circuitry, the synthesizer can emit bass drum, snare drum and hi-hat drum sounds from a battery operated body with built-in speakers. Priced at ¥21,000 (approximately $255 USD), the KORG monotribe is slated for release later this year.

Nike aims to prove that the third time’s the charm with the release of its Air Max LeBron VIII PS. The third version of this sneaker to be released this season, the updated model uses Air Max Zoom technology in the front, a 180 unit in the back, and a Cushlon midsole throughout. Additional features include a carbon fiber and hyperfuse construction with wide flex grooves on the sole. Available in a white, red and black colorway, the sneaker can be purchased soon through select Nike stockists.

Kanye West Coachella 2011 Set

Closing out this year’s Coachella fest, Kanye West delivered one of the most theatrical sets ever witnessed in the festival’s history. The opening of his performance took his art and showmanship to a whole new level. Kanye started his set by singing “Dark Fantasy” as he flew over the ignited audience on a futuristic crane while a throng of modern dancers went wild on stage. He then worked his way through the crowd and made it to stage. The rap superstar went into some of his biggest hits including “Jesus Walks” and “Can’t Tell Me Nothin.” When it was time to perform “Monster,” Kanye brought out one of his collaborators, Bon Iver. The true showman ended the night in style by performing almost all of his hits including “Love Lockdown,” “Heartless” and “All of the Lights” among fireworks. Definitely an adequate way to wrap up the festival.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle

After months of secrecy, Volkswagen unveils the latest update of their famous Beetle. Inspired by the lines of the original, the 2012 edition of the automobile goes on to boast longer and wider design aesthetics, in addition to four seats with a reclining back to accommodate additional storage. As of now, European buyers will have the choice of four engines ranging from an efficient 1.2-liter gasoline engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged model and a 1.6-liter turbo diesel version. Official options for the U.S. have yet to be confirmed.
While the 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine delivers around 105 horsepower and 65.7 mpg (EU scale) as a result of an intelligent battery regeneration system, the captivative 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine goes on to utilize around 200 horsepower.
The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle makes its public debut this week at the Shanghai Motor Show and the New York Auto Show.

T&F Slack Shoemakers 2011 Spring/Summer Collection

Historically, Britain has not been without a shortage of highly competent shoemakers. While traditional shoemakers focusing on the classics are in relative abundance, the likes of T&F Slack Shoemakers have taken to reinventing staples through more progressive stylings. Some models from this season offer not only a bold palette but the addition of large-holed perforations with a contrasting underlay. Kenny Scharf at MOCA “Art in the Streets”

Known best for his bright, colorful imagery which depicts cartoon-style characters, Kenny Scharf is a prominent New York City street artist who rose to popularity during the ’80s. A key figure in the East Village art scene, Scharf was good friends with the late graffiti artist Keith Haring and has done a number of collaborative projects including several album covers for The B-52s. The MOCA has selected several of Scharf’s works for their “Art in the Streets” exhibition including a large wall mural and one of his famous blacklight closet installations.
