Kansas-based Kris Kuski brings his talents to the Pacific Northwest as the artist opens a new exhibition in Seattle tonight, titled “Pneumatic”. The exhibition, taking place at Roq La Rue, will revolve around his highly intricate works produced from thousands of components, in what takes unbelievable patient and skill. Nicki Minaj's New Catsuit...& New Lapdance Receiver

Nicki Minaj rocked a new catsuit for her I Am Music II tour stop in Orlando, Florida last night.  And she even offered up her usual lap dance to a different persuasion this time.

ARRESTED...AGAIN! Gucci Mane Locked Up In ATL!

It's like Groundhog's Day with this dude.  DeKalb County Police are reporting that rapper Gucci Mane--government name Radric Davis, was arrested by the DeKalb County Fugitive Squad today.

We've lost count how may times Gucci's been arrested over the last 24 months.  But we've got the deets on his most recent battery charge inside.....
BIG SIGH.  Gucci reportedly battered a female recently, and he had a warrant out for his arrest.  The police say, "...they arrested Davis on a warrant that stated he intentionally caused visible bodily harm to a female by pushing her out of a moving vehicle."
Radric was visiting his probation officer today at the Georgia Department of Corrections Probation Office on Sylvan Road in Atlanta, when he was arrested by the County Fugitive Squad.  SMDH.
My Fox Atlanta reports, "Davis is charged with battery, a misdemeanor but as a result of the arrest will be also charged with violating his probation. Davis is on probation for previous unrelated charges."

Ever Wonder Why Beyonce, Rihanna, & Gaga Work So Hard?

You've asked time and time again, "Why doesn't [insert name of any over-saturated pop diva here] just go away for a while and take a break?"

If you have ever wondered why the young generation of pop artists like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, or Rihanna never take breaks and always seem to be hustling a new project, we have an interesting answer for you inside....

It's all about COMPETITION.  At least that's the case acccording to a new report from MSNBC.  The reason Rihanna and Beyonce are always out promoting or working on a new album, movie, fragrance or commercial is the general belief in the industry that if you don't go H.A.M. for at least a full three years, your adoring tweensters will forget about you and move on to the new big "pop" diva.  I personally believe it has something to do with a certain level of TRUE talent--not just the talent of being stylish and controversy-causing and beautiful--that is lacking these days.
According to MSNBC, one expert said:

"As a newer artist, RiRi is still hustling to establish herself," says independent music and social media marketer Lisa Jenkins.  "Emerging pop artists understand that the more hits they have on the radio, the more love the fans will give them, and the better their career longevity will be."

It's a phenomenon that doesn't necessarily translate to other music genres, such as country or rock, where bands are generally understood to have less competition and therefore, the thinking goes, more time to unspool their music.

MSNBC continued,

"In the pop music business, it's standard for a new talent to work for at least three years straight before taking any kind of break--just to fend off all the other pop tartlets who want that same crown. In fact, three years is considered the standard for any emerging pop diva.
(Between her first solo release and her ascension to film stardom in Dreamgirls, Beyonce worked nearly nonstop for almost exactly three years. And there's a reason why relative newcomer Lady Gaga nearly collapsed during a New Zealand performance last year; she's been working like an animal since her debut studio album came out--less than three years ago.)"

That's a far cry from the past.  Fans of the old school might remember that TLC took off four years in between their debut album and their sophomore smash CrazySexyCool.  Now....can you imagine Beyonce going three years without putting out anything?  NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
So as pop music gets more competitive, and by "competitive" we're not necessarily talking about talent, our ladies have to work harder to stay relevant.  The pop music biz is not a playground for the weary.

Mariah Carey Opens Up About Being Pregnant And Her "Babymoon"

Mariah Carey recently opened up to Life & Style about her"Babymoon" and how she is enjoying her pregnancy.  And we can all agree she is glowing.

While the cover of Life & Style hit the net last wek, another pic of Mimi baring all her baby belly is out.  Plus, a snippet of her article about the decadant babymoon (pre-labor) vacay she took to pamper herself before she gives birth.  Life & Style reports"

In her last weeks of pregnancy, Mariah Carey reveals to Life & Style that she took a babymoon for a few days of luxurious rest and relaxation before her twins’ arrival! “A friend told me that before she had her son, she took a babymoon, which is something I’d never heard of before,” Mariah tells Life & Style. “Basically, it's an excuse to do something decadent before the babies arrive!”
And after being in her LA home exclusively for the past five months, the pregnant star needed time away! “I'm pretty sure most moms-to-be out there understand what I mean when I say that after a while of being pregnant, you start climbing the walls and just want to get out of the house,” Mariah says. “So I went to an amazing spa on the ocean with a couple of friends and, of course, Cha Cha and the puppies.”
During the retreat, she indulged in everything a mom-to-be would need, from spa treatments to decadent food and fun! “Since at this point I have to really take it easy, we played board games like Taboo and Catch Phrase, ordered spa food and got as many spa treatments as possible!” Her favorite? A foot massage! “They had a method of getting the circulation going in my feet,” Mariah says, “which slightly diminished the Sasquatch moment we’re dealing with right now. Lol!”
Mariah Carey—posing in the new issue of Life & Style—is happy to have been able to capture her final days of pregnancy. “I am so glad we took these pictures as a keepsake and a reminder of this time in my life,” she tells Life & Style. “Right now I'm counting down the days till we meet the babies.”
But when Mariah posed for these belly-baring photos (above) it “wasn't your typical high-glam shoot,” Mariah Carey’s hairstylist, Randi Petersen, tells Life & Style. “Mariah was able to stand up only for intervals of about 2 to 4 minutes per shot, when normally she'd be on her feet all night. I know she wanted to document this for her babies and fans, but they should know it wasn’t easy.”

Nicki Minaj rolled through Times Square yesterday to unveil Casio's new billboard for the TRYX Camera looking like she was spit out of the Skittles rainbow.  See pics of Nicki, her "Barbz" and The Roots inside....

Yesterday, Nicki Minaj and the Roots teamed up with Casio to unveil their new TRYX Digital Camera Billboard in Times Square.

Nicki happily took pics of other people taking pics of her.

Then Nicki tweeted:  "Just shut down Time Square , TRYX in hand, barbz by my side!"

Michael Thompson “RED NUDE ” Book

Following up on his last book, entitled BLUE TORSO, which was released back in 1993, fashion photographer Michael Thompson has released another title called RED NUDE. Featuring 22 abstract nude images that were shot in New York City, each copy of RED NUDE has an edition number and comes signed by Thompson in a beautifully touched hardcover and clamshell case. Limited to only 100 copies, RED NUDE is available at several shops in Japan, including BALS TOKYO, and can also be purchased online through Restir.

Jiri Geller “Donald Duck” Collection

Finnish conceptual artist Jiri Geller highlights the intersection of pop culture through several busts of Donald Duck. Different themes are applied ranging from Burberry’s iconic pattern to Raiders of the Lost Ark and Jesus. The busts are skull-like depictions of the infamous duck as they include minute details through the shape and execution.
