Air Jordan III “Doernbecher”

The Doernbecher x Air Jordan project continues in the form of a rejuvenated Jordan III silhouette. The uppers feature a varsity red colorway encompassing various textures, from cement print on the toe and heel panels to a unique monogram pattern that comprises the side panels and toe box. The sneakers are further accented with a black collar, midsole, tongue and laces. Throw in hints of silver outline details on the logo, and clear gum soles, and these sneakers are sure to conjure up a lot of talk. XLarge Gorilla Varsity Jacket

XLarge release a new set of varsity jackets from its latest seasonal range. Dubbed the Gorilla Varsity, this new design comes in three different colorways, each featuring contrasting leather sleeves with XLarge appliques/embroidery throughout. Retailing for ￥35,700 (Approx. $429 USD), the set is now available through Calif.

Vans 2010 Fall/Winter New Releases

Using a wide variety of colors and fabrics, the latest collection of Winter sneakers from Vans are now releasing worldwide. Given the season, an appropriate amount of heavier materials and dark colors are used, without entirely neglecting the brighter palette available. The Almoar boot has been given a winter makeover and features a charcoal colored woollen upper, whilst other highlights include two new OTWs and an antique-black Larkin model. Lastly, but certainly not least, an Authentic model has been dressed in a black denim and has drawn inspiration from legendary stadium rock band Queen; features a Queen logo on the tongue, with a nice retrospective of Queen album cover prints on the insole. Air Jordan 1 High “Banned” – New Image

In August images of the Air Jordan 1 Banned samples hit the web, giving us a first look at the shoe. Here’s a new image which reveals some changes, including the missing X that was seen over the Air Jordan wing logo. The new image also reveals that the leather on the final production model features aged leather, which gives the shoe a vintage look. The Banned Jordan 1 comes in a box that was inspired by the original Air Jordan 1 box from 1985. No release info, but since Fat Joe posted them on his twitter we’re assuming these will release soon. TAG Heuer create an inspired piece revolving around progressive design and engineering with their Monaco Twenty Four Calibre 36 Chronograph. The watch takes on cues from force induction superchargers in the automotive world with TAG Heuer’s 36 Calibre movement which signifies 36,000 vibrations per hour. Additional design elements include shock resistant features which creates a floating movement. The aesthetics of the 40.5 mm case include black titanium carbide and stripes based on Steve McQueen’s Porsche 917K from the movie “Le Mans”.

A Mature Chris Brown Talks BET Breakdown, F.A.M.E., & Why He Won't Tour With Usher

Chris Brown was in New York City yesterday making his rounds where he stopped by BET's "106 & Park" 10-year anniversary and the Swatch event.  And he still found the time to do an interview with Hot 97.  We have highlights from the interview and the full video inside...

Chris Brown sat down for an interview with Angie Martinez over at Hot 97 yesterday where he came across very humble and mature.  Thanking the audience for making his single "Deuces" a hit record, Breezy seemed surprised by the song's success.
When the issue of Usher came up, it was briefly met with dead silence.  He made the point to mention that he and Usher do not have any problems and their main reason for not touring together was that it wasn't the right time financially.  Their business managers/promoters could not come to an agreement.  
Though he says it was a business decision, it led to a deeper conversation about being abandoned by certain industry peers and associates, which clearly has Chris on emotional guard.  He made it clear that even though he is cordial to music industry people, he stays in his own lane with his crew.
He says his new tattoo which reads "FAME" is about "forgiving all my enemies" and being built up then torn down by the music industry.  You can hear the pain in his voice and tell he's been through a rough time but clearly seems to have learned from it.
He also talks about his BET "moment" saying as he stood on stage and thought about the words of "Man In The Mirror" he could not hold back the tears during his Michael Jackson tribute.

We also hear he broke things off with Miss Dade County because she was more worried about getting pub for her rap career at Chris' expense than she was about him.

Nas is fed up with Def Jam executives for not releasing his album yet. He wrote a letter to the company explaining his 99 problems.  And he didn't hold his tongue.  Read the letter when you go inside...

Seems like Nas has had enough waiting around for his album to be released. He took it upon himself to write the Def Jam execs with the subject line of "Put My Sh*t Out !"

I won’t even tap dance around in an email, I will get right into it. People connect to the Artist @ the end of the day, they don’t connect with the executives. Honestly, nobody even cares what label puts out a great record, they care about who recorded it. Yet time and time again its the executives who always stand in the way of a creative artist’s dream and aspirations. You don’t help draw the truth from my deepest and most inner soul, you don’t even do a great job @ selling it. The #1 problem with DEF JAM is pretty simple and obvious, the executives think they are the stars. You aren’t…. not even close. As a matter of fact, you wish you were, but it didn’t work out so you took a desk job. To the consumer, I COME FIRST. Stop trying to deprive them! I have a fan base that dies for my music and a RAP label that doesn’t understand RAP. Pretty fucked up situation

This isn’t the 90?s though. Beefing with record labels is so 15 years ago. @ this point I just need you all to be very clear where I stand and how I feel about “my label.” I could go on twitter or hot 97 tomorrow and get 100,000 protesters @ your building but I choose to walk my own path my own way because since day one I have been my own man. I did business with Tommy Mottola and Donnie Einer, two of the most psycho dudes this business ever created. I worked well with them for one major reason……. they believed in me. The didn’t give a fuck about what any radio station or magazine said….those dudes had me.

Lost Tapes is a movement and a very important set up piece for my career as it stands. I started this over 5 years ago @ Columbia and nobody knew what it was or what it did but the label put it out as an LP and the fans went crazy for it and I single handlely built a new brand of rap albums. It’s smart and after 5 years it’s still a head of the game. This feels great and you not feeling what I’m feeling is disturbing. Don’t get in the way of my creativity. We are aligned with the stars here, this is a movement. There is a thing called KARMA that comes to haunt you when you tamper with the aligning stars. WE ARE GIVING THE PEOPLE EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. Stop throwing dog shit on a MAGICAL moment.

You don’t get another Nas recording that doesn’t count against my deal….PERIOD! Keep your bullshit $200,000.00 fund. Open the REAL budget. This is a New York pioneers ALBUM, there ain’t many of us. I am ready to drop in the 4th quarter. You don’t even have shit coming out! Stop being your own worst enemy. Let’s get money!

Nas sounds like he means business and makes some valid points. But I already know the argument of the execs will be--"Well you're not that hot right now."  Nas just released the Distant Relatives album with Damien Marley and got some pub for it, but not what the label was looking for.

Wonder if Lupe will follow his lead and do the same thing about his album?  Your thoughts?
